The International Strategic Psychotherapists Association (ISPA) is a new professional association.
It was established to promote Strategic Psychotherapy approaches around the world and to support Strategic practitioners become the best version of themselves.
Which Colleges Can I Join?
Strategic Hypnotherapist is a Trademarked term and the use of this term/logo incurs an additional $25 annual fee (effectively 0.50c per week) on top of your membership fee.
The College of Strategic Hypnotherapists
The terms Strategic Hypnotherapy, Strategic Hypnotherapist, and Strategic Hypnosis are trademarked terms and can only be used by graduates of the Institute of Applied Psychology (IAP), or those who have completed Michael Yapko’s 100 Hour Certification, and are a psychologist, psychiatrist, counsellor, social worker, or alike.
The minimum education requirement for this College is the equivalent of a Nationally Accredited Diploma.
The completion of the Nationally Accredited Diploma of Clinical Hypnosis and Strategic Psychotherapy 10450NAT or a Diploma of Clinical Hypnosis and Strategic Psychotherapy 10791NAT provides automatic entry.
These same qualifications will also permit you to join the College of Strategic Psychotherapists and the College of Gordian Therapists. Alternatively, you can Join the College of Clinical Hypnotherapists where no fees are required.
Once established within the college your membership level will be further determined by your experience in the field.

The College of Clinical Hypnotherapists
Eligibility for this College is any qualification in hypnotherapy accepted by any Hypnotherapy Council of Australia (HCA) member organization. If you are a traditional, Ericksonian, or even Neo Ericksonian Hypnotherapist, you are welcome in the College of Clinical Hypnotherapists.
On enrolment you will be provided with an online introduction to Strategic Psychotherapy, which you can incorporate into your current practice, or as a launchpad for further training. Once you have become a member of the college your membership level will be determined by your qualifications and experience.

The College of Strategic Coaches
Eligibility for this College is any Diploma Level or equivalent qualification in Coaching. The attainment of either a Diploma of NLP and Coaching, or a Diploma of NLP, Leadership, and Coaching from the Institute of Applied Psychology will provide automatic eligibility.
If you are NLP trained, you are also eligible to join the College of NLP Psychotherapists.
On enrolment you will be provided with an online introduction to Strategic Psychotherapy, which you can incorporate into your current practice, or as a launchpad for further training.
Once you have become a member of the college your membership level will be determined by your qualifications and experience.

The College of Gordian Therapists(TM)
The term Gordian Therapy refers to a specific form of strategic psychotherapy that bases its approach on the Gordian Pillars of Psychotherapy. This is a trademarked term and can only be used by graduates of the Institute of Applied Psychology (IAP). The minimum education requirement for this College is a Nationally Accredited Diploma of Clinical Hypnosis and Strategic Psychotherapy 10450NAT or a Diploma of Clinical Hypnosis and Strategic Psychotherapy 10791NAT.
These same qualifications will also permit you to join the College of Strategic Hypnotherapists and the College of Strategic Psychotherapists.
Once established within the college your membership level will be determined by your experience in the field.

The College of Strategic Psychotherapists
The College of Strategic Psychotherapists includes a range of talk therapy that can be considered psychotherapy. This can include counselors, sematic therapists, behavioral or cognitive therapists, as well as a host of other models. If you are a Hypnotherapist of any sort, you have automatic eligibility to the College of Strategic Psychotherapists.
Once established within the college your membership level will be determined by your experience in the field.

The College of NLP Psychotherapists
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a cognitive-behavioral model that shares a deliberately interventionist approach. It is famous for rapid change technology and its communication model. The minimum standard to be granted access to this college is an approved NLP Practitioner Certification from a reputable school. Master Practitioner and Trainer levels would have automatic entry to this College.
Once you have become a member of the college your membership level will be determined by your qualifications and experience.
